Managed Service Organizations (MSO's)
The Colorado Division Behavioral Health (DBH) designed seven Sub-State Planning Areas (SSPA's) to
assure substance abuse treatment services were readily available to residents in the State.
Each SSPA is managed by an MSO that is responsible for oversight of treatment providers in the
SSPA, quality assurance, general compliance with ADAD guidelines and distribution of funds.
Qualified clients desiring financial assistance with treatment costs should receive such services in
the SSPA of their residence.
