How do I enroll in a treatment program at this agency?
For Residential Treatment program (RT), contact our admissions counselor. If you reside outside SSPA 4,
you should contact a service agency in your home area. For Outpatient, contact the Outpatient office.
Is tobacco use allowed?
NO! Effective April 1, 2010, this facility becomes tobacco-free. Use of tobacco products, possession of
tobacco or tobacco use devices is not allowed. Tobacco cessation services are available.
Do I have access to a telephone?
Telephone privileges are very limited. You are not allowed out-going social calls. You are allowed one (1)
incoming social call between the hours of 5:30PM and 6:30 PM on Saturday, Wednesday and Sunday.
Limited confirmed business calls may be allowed.
How/where do I eat meals?
Meals are prepared by staff and served cafeteria style. Clients are not permitted meals, food items, snacks,
soda pop, bottled water, or soft drinks delivered or catered by/from an outside source (includes family).
Clients themselves are not allowed to bring such items.
How many days will I be in treatment?
The Residential Treatment Program (RT) is 30 days in length. Clients must complete 30 days to receive a
report of successful completion of the program. Agency policies do not allow anyone to be enrolled in RT
that may be under the influence or in need of Detoxification. Therefore, ALL clients are enrolled in the
Detox program for a 2-5 day observation period prior to enrollment in Residential Treatment. Total length of
stay is 32-35 days.
What should I bring with me?
Bring enough clothing for 7-10 days. Personal care items such as soap, toothpaste/toothbrush, shampoo,
comb/brush, 2-3 towels, 2 spiral notebooks, wooden pencils, clear barrel ballpoint pens, any RX medications
or OTC medications (30 day supply).
Who pays for these services?
By State law, the client is responsible for payment of treatment costs and treatment related costs. There
may be financial assistance available. Indigent clients may be assessed fees based on a sliding fee scale.
Partial financial assistance may be obtained from service agencies in your area. Room and board costs are
separate from treatment costs. Non-residents of Colorado are responsible for payment of 100% of
treatment and related costs. All enrollees should be prepared to pay their share at admission. Admission
may be denied if no payment is presented. Personal checks and credit cards are NOT accepted. We accept
cash, cashier’s checks or money orders. Any quoted fees are subject to change.
Am I allowed visitors?
Clients are allowed ONE (1) pre-arranged and controlled visitation with family per week. These visits will be
between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Saturday or Sunday. Visits will be limited to 1 hour per client. Visits will
be on a scheduled basis and pre-arranged prior to Saturday of the given week. Visits will be limited in size
to a maximum of a small group (no family reunions). All visitations will be inside the building. No off
premises passes are allowed. No overnight passes.
What should I NOT bring with me?
Alcohol, illicit/illegal substances, weapons, shorts, tank tops, muscle shirts, halter tops, tube tops or any
clothing that overly expose the human body, tattoo materials, music instruments, radios, televisions, stereos,
record players, tape recorders, VCR/VHS recorders/players/tapes, CD’s/CD players/recorders, DVD’s/DVD
players/recorders, MP3 players, any communication devices such as cell phones, computers, pagers, lamps
and electrical appliances, cameras.
